AboutA space that honors both the science of healing and the lived, felt experience of it.
The Story of Huntington Integrative
At 17, healing wasn’t an abstract idea.
It was a necessity. Living with an eating disorder felt like never being enough, like needing to become someone else in order to be worthy. What started to shift that experience wasn’t control. It was meditation. Through books, guidance, and a deep, almost desperate desire to feel different, meditation became a daily practice. In those quiet moments, something new emerged. For the first time, the external world wasn’t dictating the internal experience.
There was space. There was another way to exist.
Years later, yoga entered the picture and everything deepened.
It felt like meditation, but in motion. A full-body experience of connection, expression, and awareness. It was never about the physical outcome. It was about feeling, processing, and being present within the body. From the very beginning, it was clear this was something more than exercise. It was a way of moving through emotion, rather than holding it in.
So much of life and healing exists in places that are hard to put into words.
That understanding expanded in 2015 during yoga teacher training, when a single moment changed everything. Watching a yoga therapy session unfold and seeing someone move through an emotional release in real time revealed something profound. Healing didn’t always happen through words. It could happen through the body, through presence, through allowing emotion to move. That moment didn’t just inspire a direction. It clarified it. From there, the path toward becoming a therapist was no longer a question.
That means as a yoga teacher, the real work was never just the class itself. It was what happened after. Conversations with students who felt something shift, who opened up about their lives, who asked how to carry that feeling into the rest of their world. There was a desire to hold more space for that, to understand it more deeply, to support it more fully.
Even my own traditional therapy didn’t always reflect what had experienced firsthand within the yoga space. It often felt sterile, structured, and focused on outcomes that didn’t fully capture the complexity of being human. So much of life and healing exists in places that are hard to put into words. The work needed to include that.
Huntington Integrative was created from that knowing.
It is a space that honors both the science of healing and the lived, felt experience of it. A space that recognizes the role of the nervous system, the body, and the environment in shaping how we think and feel. A space that is flexible, responsive, and rooted in the understanding that no two people heal in the same way. This work is not about fixing what is broken, because you are not broken. It is about creating the conditions where you can feel safe enough to understand yourself, to process what you’ve carried, and to move forward in a way that feels true to you.
At its core, this is a space where you don’t have to perform, hide, or prove anything.
You are not too much.
You are not a problem to be solved.
You are already whole.
From that place of wholeness, where you are right now, everything else can begin.
