During the call, we’ll talk through what you’re looking for, your goals, and make sure we’re a good fit. If it feels like a match, we’ll help you schedule your first intake session and share any next steps.

Yes! We’re currently in-network with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and PEIA.
If you’re out-of-network, we can provide a monthly superbill (medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.
For out-of-network plans, the self-pay rate is $190 per session, and payment is due at the time of service.

The first session (intake) is about getting to know you. We will review your history, discuss what brings you to therapy, and outline your goals. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and see if our work together feels like a good fit.

Individual sessions are 50 minutes. We typically recommend starting with weekly or bi-weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong foundation. From there, we can collaborate to adjust the frequency over time based on your goals, needs, and schedule.

We offer both options! You are welcome to come into our office for face-to-face sessions or connect from the comfort of your home via our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Many clients appreciate the flexibility to switch between the two as needed.

We provide neuro-affirming support and therapy for ADHD and Autism (Level 1). However, we do not conduct formal neuropsychological testing or provide official medical diagnoses required for school or workplace accommodations. We can refer you to specialists for testing if needed.

A good therapeutic fit often feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. You should feel listened to, understood, and comfortable asking questions or sharing feedback. It’s okay if trust takes time to build — and it’s also okay to adjust or explore a different therapist if something doesn’t feel right. Finding the right fit is an important part of effective therapy.

If you cancel, reschedule, or miss an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $95 fee may apply. Each client receives one complimentary late cancellation/reschedule. After the complimentary one is used, the $95 fee will be charged for any additional late cancellations, late reschedules, or no-shows. This fee is not billable to insurance.

We offer a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you join (in person or virtually) within the first 10 minutes, you’re considered on time. If you join more than 10 minutes late, your appointment will still end at the scheduled time, and the missed time cannot be made up. No-shows will be charged a $95 fee.

Yes—we do offer evening appointments. However, we don’t currently offer weekend appointments.

Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. We cannot share your information without your written permission. The only legal exceptions are if there is suspected child or elder abuse, or if you are in immediate danger of harming yourself or others.

In an emergency or crisis, please call 911 or 988. Emergencies and crises are not within our scope of practice.

Our address is 1404 ½ Adams Avenue, Huntington, WV 25704. If your GPS has trouble finding us, try searching “Thistle Patch”—it’s a cute antique shop in the same building as our office. Street parking is free, and parking near Thistle Patch is usually the easiest.
